2. The complainant will see a confirmation of receipt on the screen.
3. The Hotline will categorise and process the report and evaluate whether the material meets the criteria of section 240b of the Penal Code. If there is doubt as to whether the material constitutes a criminal offence, the Hotline will consult with the Dienst Recherche [National Criminal Intelligence Department] of the KLPD [National Police Agency].
4. If the reported material constitutes a criminal offence, the Hotline will lodge a complaint with the Dienst Recherche [National Criminal Intelligence Department]. The Hotline will never make public the informant's name or related data.
4.1. If the material has not been distributed via a location within the Netherlands, the Hotline will forward the information to another hotline of INHOPE, the international joint venture of hotlines.
4.2. If no coalition partner is present in the country in question, the information will be forwarded to the National Criminal Intelligence Department so that it can handle the case via Interpol or otherwise.
5. Whenever possible, the Hotline will inform the informant about the follow-up.
